@Devilfish6666 I agree with you, but how does that justify an "owning" at all? The title of the video is petty.

@fabio05cannavaro by raising less? after the pre-flop raise (at which point it wasn't clear who was winning), what did Duke do to own Phil? Nothing. She tried check-raise--Phil didn't fall for it. She tried raise--Phil still didn't fall for it. I don't see what's the "ownage" here other than having better cards, lol. When I read the title, I thought she tricked him into a bluff or something.

@fabio05cannavaro Instead of asking "How could Annie won more?" You should ask "How could Annie have won LESS? (after the pre-flop raise)." After the flop, the only way she could have played worse is to fold. Anyone in her position would have ended up no worse than her. The situation I see is this: Annie got the best hand, she tried to trick Phil twice but it didn't work. Where is the "owning" move that you see?

@SkrPchr3 i never wrote the word "own", although i'm not a fan of not c-betting that flop, there's no way she could have gotten more out of phil post-flop really, what do you mean by raising less? smaller pf raise? what's the point?

@SkrPchr3 i'm sorry did i ever write the word "own"? tried to trick phil twice? she only checked the flop, which i don't really like, but still...

@fabio05cannavaro she raised 150k on the turn and scared off Phil. You didn't use the word "own," but your response was to this comment: "I fail to see how that's an own? He made a good fold and she got very little value out of a made hand." It is a good fold (not a difficult one, but a good one, ie: the correct decision). Certainly wasn't a bad fold. And certainly it wasn't an "ownage." So I don't see anything wrong with that comment.

@fabio05cannavaro Some said that they fail to see how this was ownage, and you seemed to disagree. And yes, she tried to trick Phil twice. Surely, that check on the flop is not just a check (you really think she didn't want Phil to raise?). That was a check-RAISE attempt (which Phil didn't fall for). Then she tried directly raising, and that didn't work either.

@SkrPchr3 by the way that's called betting, not raising....
Array ( 1 year ago by SkrPchr3)
@fabio05cannavaro Do you have anything else to respond to other than the terminology? lol...You took the time to respond, but went off on a tangent instead of responding to the main point? And speaking of terminology: If that's not a raise, then what is a raise? And secondly, what is a RE-raise? (good luck sorting that out)

That wasn't an Own, she had a monster hand Hellmuth had an Ace high. Hellmuth is a big pussy sore loser anyway, I can't stand watching him play, noone likes him he's a little bitch whenever he loses. The check bet on the flop was good, but I would've bet smaller on the turn because you know you have the hand won to make some off it, then kill him at the end with a fold.
