@bamboo That is not a bad beat. A set of aces? Seriously? I have laid down better hands than that. I had quad jacks beat by a royal flush.Similar situation. Runner runner and I hit quads with the same jack that he royal flushed with. At least the guy that beat me had a legit flush draw on the flop though. THe real bad beat was a few weeks latter Partypoker started a bad beat jackpot that was usually in the $100,000-$200,000 range. I would have qualified for it.

@VicenzoV might have been. I didn't see the hand live. I have no idea why a set would check that turn though. If he really did then it was not really a bad beat it was just bad luck. He let himself get beat if he checked it down to the river.

In my opinion it wasn't really that bad of a beat. The diamond A came on the river, shirtless guy already has a straight vs trip A since the turn. IMO a bad beat should only count when you're in front until the river.
