Ivey has been playing professionally for over 10 years. He plays in the BIG GAME in Vegas regularly where the TOP pros play about ten different kinds of poker for hundreds of thousands every session. In addition, last year he averaged more per hour online than anyone else, somewhere in the neighborhood of $8000 per hour, way beyond other highly rated online poker superstars. He's the real deal - an absolute monster. And he says he's never played a perfect session in his life!

Ha! He's not as slack jawed crack head as he used to be. But he's been a winning player for ten years in the biggest cash games and tournaments in the world. It's an unspoken truth that many tournament champion hot shots get their asses fleeced when they sit down in the Big Game with the likes of Ivey, Negreanu, Greenstein, Todd and Doyle Brunson, Harmon, Li, Benyamine, etc...

I agree with most of you that Ivey is a sack of sh*t but don't try to make it sound like it's because you don't like his style. It sounds phony among other things. Who are the "gentlemen of the game you speak of"? Ivey is seen regularly out golfing with Doyle Brunson. And Barry Greenstein is one of his best friends. Ivey IS one of the gentlemen of the game, fool, and the top pros know it. He's one of the club.

Since no one here has posted any evidence of Ivey acting like a sack of sh*t, I must conclude that you are all either A) Racist morons who can't believe a ni**er is smart enough to play poker or B) Poker fan homos who can't imagine themselves having sex with Ivey, thus perfering to watch Antonius or Esfandiari or C) Pokeretards who can't figure out Ivey's play and are completely confused and freaked out that he's won $10 million in tournaments and much more in cash games. I've never seen any footage of Ivey acting like anything but a professional, unlike Hellmuth, Matusow, and alot of the other poor sports there are in this very frustrating game.

The best thing about Phil Ivey is that he is very aware that there are players that do not like having to play with him. I do not know if this is out of fear or racism. However, they do recognize the fact that the man is skilled and lucky. He has earned the right to play at all of the best tables based on knowledge of the game.
Phil Ivey is unafraid of losing and looking foolish. He loves and respects the game. He is playing himself and his last best hand.

Anyone who talks shit about Ivey is a moron. He's one of the best poker players ON THE PLANET. Many of the best players say he's #1, and that counts a lot more than a bunch a keyboard warriors talking shit on youtube. Ivey is a stud. Oh, and that was a pretty bad fold by the guy with the long hair, I'm surprised he threw away AK so quickly, but then again he was playing out of position against Phil.
