Just a technicality ... ( 4 months ago by jeff6683)
Just a technicality but on the river, Seidel actually had 8 outs, the other 2 aces, 3 deuces, and 3 sevens. And I'm not really sure how Mike being a big favorite swings when you go all in with 2 pair.

How many times does mike get bad beats? Unreal, he has the worst luck ever. got to feel sorry for him!

thats a pretty awkward sort of a hand.
mike was right for calling an all-in with top 2 pair (even if he shouldnt have been in it with 10 8 to begin with), but seidel couldnt do what many people we know cant do often, in that he wasnt prepared to lay down AA after a re-raise.

would of liked to seen daniel negreanu or phil hellmuth play that hand ,they probably would fold. But its hard to lay down aces but he could of had a set aswell.I think eric thought he was on a flush draw
Typical bad beat. ... ( 1 month ago by loxbuster)
Typical bad beat. And that AA can be folded easily. You people seam to forget AA is still only 1 pair. I frequently bust aces with suited connectors. People are always crying after that how could you call with 58 suited preflop. So I usually have to do some explaining why is something like 79 suited a better call preflop when I know he has rockets than KK, AK, QQ the only cards they consider a "good" preflop call against AA.

Hold on, Mike calls a 2 Spade Flop?? (He must've been TIRED)-He has more Discipline to call an all in like Erik's, unless THEY BOTH WERE IN A RACE FOR 33%-47% Flush..

Hey what does insurance mean in relation to high stakes cash games like these? Is it running the board or different.
lol, no it can't. ... ( 5 days ago by Adv3nt)
lol, no it can't. Especially against a player as aggressive as Matusow? Mike's range there is pretty wide when he 3-bets, and is full of semi-bluffs that have to fold when Erik shoves. Not to mention that there's only four realistic combinations of hands that beat aces there, and many more combinations of flush draws, combo draws, underpairs, and air Matusow is making a move with.
If you don't go broke with aces here, you need to learn how to play.

Both players played the situation well and without mistakes, imo.
