Dianetics was rejected completely by the Psychiatric and Medical community and Hubbard took this rejection deeply personally and became intensely bitter and paranoid towards Psychiatry.

the right thing to say about SC is that it is no different to a cult. Cults like Jehovah`s Witnesses. They do the same thing to attract new members. First they convince you that you are messed up person. Second you need "to help", "to donate" for you to be granted happiness by the cult (auditions, seminars etc.).
The SC is different. You become a loyal part, a mental fanati, a humble slave, if you want, of the cult that goes arround and turn others to his "faith".
