even perfect strategy still gives you roughly 0.5% of a disadvantage against a dealer, card copunting works on multiple decks just as well however you need to convert the running count into a true count, the running count divided by the number of remaining decks left in play in order to get a true count. Also it is advised that along with card counting you use various tricks such as shuffle tracking to swing the game to your favour.

no no, i was replying to dragonopp, who said that the casinos shuffle the deck after every round, and that is against the rules. im well aware card counting is legal, ive done it...

if this work, then the casino just use a new deck every time (or swap decks between tables), easy way to solve the problem. But they don't, so this doesn't work. Do you think the casino just sit there and wait for people to touch their money?

sound very unrealistic, people don't just go to cas to play black jack, plus it take someone with VERY good memory, observation, analysis, deception etc... skills to perform this trick,
So, by just changing something simple as using new deck or swapping decks between table is not going to stop "people" from going to the casino.

dude! have u ever even studied counting cards??? the more decks there are the better chances u have cause it gives more time for the count to get high, 2 decks is worth nothing! also, counting doesnt give u an edge, it just allows u to make more money, basic strategy is what gives u a 1% edge over the casino. also, though i've nvr been in a casino (i'm only 13) i doubt they shufle too often because every time they're not playing, they're losing money

Actually it's exactly the opposite. The more decks that are used, the lower the variance and thus the less likely it is that you will get significant favorable (or unfavorable counts). This is why the casinos have gone to six and eight deck shoes, and continuous shuffles (along with the need for less time spent shuffling).

haha...played blackjack for the first time at a casino on the weekend and doubled the money i came in with. Oh, and this casino DID NOT have an automatic shuffler...they shuffled 6 decks about every 20 rounds or so...so it was very easy

i use the high opt I system and it works pretty good but i can never make significant wins because even if the card count is very high it only means there are many high cards left in the shoe. now this does give u an advantage but sometimes it happened that i would bet high, get a twenty or higher and the so does the dealer! it happened a few times that i had a twenty and the dealer got twenty one beating my hand!
