Boxing has few fatalities per match compared to dog-fights.
Boxing has a referee, and the combatants follow a strict style of fighting.
The Boxers are capable of making rational decisions as to the danger they face, and wether thay want to participate.
When a boxer is cut, he has people inspect/repair the damage in his corner, and the fight is stopped if he has sustained any sort of serious injury.
None of the above is true for dog-fights.
