I have said it before and I will say it again, why does the UB scandal surprise anyone.
They are both owned by the same people, I only wonder how long it will be before Bodog joins the scandal since ownership will go to these very same people.

Great multitasking J. Todd! How do you get him to stay still? On another note PartyPoker no longer accepts US players so is this video pre UIGEA? If not how is a US player playing there? I always liked PartyPoker because they are not riddled with cheating scandals. We need to overturn UIGEA so I and millions of other American poker players can once again play there. Your dog looks like one of the Poker Playing Dogs..coincidence? I liked the Good, The Bad, and The Ugly intro!

There's a distint difference between being surprised as a player and trying to remain an observer & reporter of facts for these videos. =0)
There are many good poker rooms out there, and you must remember that until we have formal regulation, this kinda stuff will happen.
Over the past 10 years, sites like Casinomeister, CAP, player boards like 2+2, and even the APCW have gone a long way to cleaning up the industry... but it's an ongoing and tedious process.
We need real regulation.

Yes, it was. Poker Stars does allow US Players. In fact, that's what made them the biggest poker site in the world after Party Poker withdrew.

Being a Ron Paul fan, what we don't need is a goverment body regulating and taxing the industry. That would be more of the same, with little or no real benefit to the player, like being an Enron shareholder. Instead - just make online gambling not a criminal offense, and let private organizations like yourself APCW become the regulating body. You are doing a good job.

Once in the hand of the goverment a freefall would exists and every corrupt politician and lobbyist would be jumping on the bandwagon. Cheating would be common place as inside trading as to pay all the invested interest off. And any investigated issue would look as wholesome as an 9/11 commision report. Being a Ron Paul fan as well... and planning to vote for him even if he isn't gonna win... I appreciate your views and confidence in APCW =0)
But now that the US Government has their big, fat, greedy hands in the pie I just don't see how we get away from their involvement from now till forever.

AP caught the dishonest guy and fired him,the AP officer quit because the dishonest guy was his friend.Wheb AP acquired UB the dishonest guy there was already playing, when AP found out about the dishonest play at UB they fired him and made restitution to the players they could identify.Sounds to me like they should get credit for doing the " right thing"! Even "security" is crooked, so anyone who plays at UB is foolish. As for the VA Congressman's son, just goes to show politians talk a good game but still play under the table.

well technically online gambling isnt really illegal because there is no sanction of where it 'is'. who really knows how much these gov'nt officials get paid for our illegal activity...you might think they care ...but it comes down to the dollar. like we're ever gonna have alternative fuel without them finding a way to grab taxes from it. God forbid we make cars made on tap water...then they'll tax that like they do the oil/gasoline. and to do what with? buy a 3k chair for their desk.

You're right. As we've mentioned many times, there is NO Federal law which criminalizes PLAYING at online casinos. There are, however, a few State laws which do... like the one here in Washington State.
As soon as they discover how to monitize alternative fuels (both corporately and governmentaly) you'll see the US start the shift from oil.

I have done my research on this very topic, and no where does the Bible say poker (or any other form of gambling) is "bad".
In fact, I challenge anyone out there to use the Bible to prove gambling is a sin or immoral in any way.
So if anyone has some time on their hands --- and a knack for manipulating scripture into whatever perverted interpritation needed to justify a personal belief --- I say go for it.
I'll post the debate right here. =0)
